Funding the latest technology

Thanks to your donations, Hywel Dda Health Charities purchased four Electrocardiogram (ECG) machines at a cost of more than £32,000 for Withybush Hospital in Pembrokeshire.

The Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC), the Adult Clinical Decisions Unit (ACDU) and Wards 9 and 12 at Withybush Hospital now each have their own dedicated ECG machines.

Improving patient experience

By purchasing the latest equipment and technology, charitable funds enhance patient care and support staff to deliver the most efficient service they can.

Helen Johns, Hospital Service Manager for Unscheduled Care, said: “Having our own dedicated ECG machines, rather than sharing with other wards, means care will be provided in the timeliest manner, improving the patient experience.”
