Vicki Coles, along with her family and friends, has raised an incredible £4,003.83 for the Critical Care Unit (ICU) at Withybush Hospital, in memory of her late husband, Henry Coles.

Henry sadly passed away in March 2024, and the family wanted to give something back to the unit that cared for him and made such a difference during Henry’s time in hospital. This is the second fundraiser the family has done for the ICU.

Throughout 2025, Vicki and her supporters organised a variety of fundraising activities including a charity wax, a raffle, and a charity night at The Bull in Haverfordwest. Friends also took part in both the Llanelli Half Marathon and the Cardiff Half Marathon.

Kim Goodall, Senior Sister, said: “Thank you very much to Vicki and everyone involved for helping to raise an incredible £4,000 in 2025 for the ICU. This is a wonderful tribute to Henry. The funds are gratefully received and will make a meaningful difference to our work on the unit. Thank you!”

Katie Hancock, Fundraising Officer, said: “Thank you to Vicki, and to your family and friends, for raising such an incredible amount for the ICU at Withybush Hospital. This is a truly lovely tribute to Henry. We hope you find comfort in knowing that your support will make a meaningful difference to the patients, families, and staff on the ICU.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
