BIG Birthday Bake
On July 5th 2025 the NHS turns 77! Join the celebrations by taking part in our BIG Birthday Bake.
You can enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake – and raise funds for your local NHS service in the process. These funds will help pay for the little extras which make such a big difference to patients, families and staff.
You can take part in the BIG Birthday Bake throughout July in any number of ways. For example, you can:
🧁 Hold a tea party and invite your family and friends, asking for a donation to the charity
🧁 Hold your own bake sale in a community venue, in work, in school or at home
🧁 Bake a fabulous birthday cake and enter a photo into our BIG Birthday Bake competition for the best decorated cake – which will be judged by Great British Bake Off winner Georgie Grasso! Entries are £3
🧁 Have a selfie with our BIG Birthday Bake selfie frame - catch us in Bronglais, Glangwili, Prince Philip and Withybush hospitals and other venues across the health board with our special selfie frames on the week of 30th June
🧁 Make a £5 donation by texting LOVENHS to 70085 or click here and make an online donation (remember to include details of which ward, service or hospital you would like to donate to).
All funds raised will go to your local NHS and pay for items and activities above and beyond core NHS expenditure such as:

Extra patient comforts

Most up-to-date medical equipment

More welcoming surroundings for patients, families and staff

Staff training, development and wellbeing initiatives

Research into, and the development of, treatments

Enhanced care in our local communities.
