Long Course Weekend and Hywel Dda Health Charities join forces again to support our NHS in Wales

Long Course Weekend is proud to announce a renewed three-year partnership with Hywel Dda Health Charities, continuing its mission to raise funds for the NHS in Wales.
Dedicated to enhancing the experiences of NHS patients, service users, and staff across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire, Hywel Dda Health Charities will be offering supporters exclusive free spaces as part of the partnership.
Since the partnership started in 2022, Long Course Weekend athletes and Hywel Dda Health Charities fundraisers have raised nearly £50,000, helping to fund projects, equipment and services that make a real difference across our local hospitals and communities.
Matthew Evans, CEO of Long Course Weekend, said: “Long Course Weekend has always been about more than sport - it’s about people, community and pride in Pembrokeshire. The event generates over £20 million in economic impact each year, engages 55 schools through our Legacy and Learn to Swim programmes, and raises essential funds for charities that need our support now more than ever.
“We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside Hywel Dda Health Charities for another three years, celebrating the power of sport to bring people together and to give back to those who care for us when we need it most.”
The partnership reinforces Long Course Weekend’s ongoing commitment to community impact, athlete well-being and the health of Wales.

Long Course Weekend Wales 2026 runs from 26th–28th June. As part of this exclusive partnership, Hywel Dda Health Charities is offering a limited number of free spaces in the swim, cycle and run events for fundraisers which are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
