Holter ambulatory monitors are small, compact medical devices that allow the assessment of a patient’s heart rate and rhythm (ECG) for a sustained amount of time within or outside the hospital environment.
“We are able to offer high-quality ECG monitoring with advanced diagnostic features, which contributes to the delivery of an effective and efficient arrhythmias recognition service at Prince Philip Hospital.
“The increased quality of the data gathered can ensure greater accuracy of analysis of the patient’s recording, enabling us to provide a more thorough, timely and accurate treatment plan for the patient. These new monitors provide extended monitoring capabilities, allowing for comprehensive cardiac assessment over longer periods.”
Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
