Zac Davies and his uncle, Nick Davies, completed the National Three Peaks Challenge and raised £1,890 for Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital.

Ward 10 provides care and treatment to oncology and haematology patients, and those with complex palliative care needs.

Zac and Nick took on the challenge on 14th June 2025 as a thanks for the care that Zac’s step-father and grandfather received on Ward 10.

Zac said: “From the start, we knew how much of a difficult challenge it would be. We completed the three peaks on around 30 minutes sleep and walked through some horrendous weather throughout the night.

“Overall, we were so happy to get over the line in under 24 hours. We are both over the moon to have raised a decent amount of money for a charity and hospital that is so close to our hearts. The staff on Ward 10 are very caring and provided the utmost support during a difficult time that we faced as a family

“We would like to thank everyone that donated. We can’t explain how much it means to us to make a little difference to such an amazing ward. We would also like to thank Bookitlist, they were absolutely amazing and made sure we completed the challenge to our best ability.”

Katie Hancock, Fundraising Officer, said: “A big thank you to Zac and Nick for completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. We’re incredibly grateful for your generosity.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”

Your donations are making a positive difference to the health, wellbeing and experience of NHS patients, service users and staff.
