Brothers Alex and Paul Simpson are taking on three events at Long Course Weekend 2025 to raise funds for Hywel Dda Children’s Mental Health Services.
Long Course Weekend is the biggest multisport festival in Europe, attracting over 10,000 athletes and 35,000 supporters from 45 nations.
Alex and Paul will be heading to Tenby on 27th to 29th June 2025 to complete a 1.2-mile swim, 70-mile cycle and 13.1-mile run.
Alex said: “This year, my brother and I are both taking on the incredible challenge of completing the half-distance triathlon in Tenby. This is not just for personal growth, but to raise money for a cause that truly matters.
“Every swim stroke, pedal, and stride will be powered by your generosity. Your donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and help support Hywel Dda Health Charities. More specifically, I work within the Children’s Mental Health Services for Hywel Dda University Health Board and want to raise the money for Bro Myrddin Wellbeing Hwb where I am based.
“The Hwb is a non-clinical setting that offers children and young people a safe, calming environment to help deal with their distress or crisis whilst avoiding them having to attend the busy hospital and A&E settings. The money will be used to support our ongoing garden project. Together, we can turn sweat into impact. Please consider supporting our journey and this amazing cause. Let’s make every mile count!”
Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “Best of luck to Alex and Paul. We look forward to supporting you in Tenby in June. Good luck!
“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
