Ysgol Bancyfelin has raised £600 for the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Glangwili Hospital.

The school council organised a coffee morning on 4th October 2024 to raise the funds.

Rhian Rees, Teacher in Ysgol Bancyfelin, said: “The school council arranged a coffee morning to raise funds for the Chemotherapy Day Unit. They organised the time, place, cakes, bunting and printed flyers for parents.

“The children wanted to raise money for a local cause that offers treatment and support for residents of Bancyfelin.

“It was very rewarding. Parents supported by providing cakes for the coffee morning. The children enjoyed hosting the event on the day and welcoming their parents and Bancyfelin residents to the school. Thank you to parents, staff, children and residents of the village for supporting.”

Diane Henry-Thomas, Fundraising Support Officer, said; “Thank you to the pupils and staff of Ysgol Bancyfelin for supporting the Chemotherapy Day Unit at Glangwili Hospital during their coffee morning.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
