Gerald and Diane Rogers, of Saundersfoot, have raised £4,500 for Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital in memory of their daughter, Julie Gwendoline Rose Rogers.

Mr. and Mrs. Rogers and their family held a sponsored walk and climbed Mount Snowdon. Gerald also raised money by dressing as Father Christmas for many years in their local village, Saundersfoot, visiting care homes and village events.

Gerald said: “Thank you to the staff on Ward 10 for the fantastic care our daughter, Julie, received. This is our way of saying thank you and giving back to the Ward who looked after Julie so well. Thank you to everyone who donated too, it’s much appreciated.”

Katie Hancock, Fundraising Officer, said: “Thank you so much to Gerald and Diane for raising a fantastic amount for Ward 10, it’s a lovely tribute to their late daughter, Julie. Your support will make such a difference to patients, families, and staff on Ward 10.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”

Your donations are making a positive difference to the health, wellbeing and experience of NHS patients, service users and staff.
