Dyffryn Cothi Young Farmers Club has raised £1,600 for Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board.

The young farmers club is located in Pumsaint with members aged between 11-24. The club meets weekly and members take part in a range of activities.

Anna Davies, Chairman and Secretary of the YFC, said: “To raise the funds, members of Dyffryn Cothi YFC helped in the local half marathon, had a collection in our Harvest Thanksgiving and went carol singing. It’s always fun coming together at different events to raise money.

“The charity is close to everyone in the club and the community for different reasons, it’s a charity that will benefit us as members now and in the future.

“I would like to thank all the members and the community for donating to such an important charity. As chairman and secretary, I’m proud of our small club for raising a good amount for a local Welsh charity.”

Nicola Llewellyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “We are so grateful for the fantastic fundraising by Dyffryn Cothi YFC.

“The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide in the three counties of Hywel Dda and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
